Meet the #motherhustlers: Pujarini Mitra

Pujarini Mitra is an entrepreneur with a serious travel addiction. With a management degree and corporate experience of 9 years, she has a travel experience of exploring 10 countries and counting. She loves tripping to new places, living in unique accommodations, and eating local food with new friends.

Tell us about yourself, your business, and how you got started!

Hey There! I am Pujarini Mitra, an entrepreneur who loves traveling. My business is a travel consultancy focusing on content management and digital marketing. I have always been passionate about traveling and finally decided to quit my corporate job to pursue my passion. I started as a blog writer and that is something I still do.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have a master’s degree in management and always wanted to start my own venture someday. It was just a matter of the right time.

What struggles do you face when it comes to balancing your work and family and how do you deal with them?

With a toddler, it does become difficult to balance work and family sometimes. But due to the flexible nature of my work, I am able to find time for both. When I need to travel, I travel with family so that I do not miss out on anything.

What do you think is the secret to raising a healthy business and a healthy family?

I think there is no secret, you just need to find out what you want and what works for you. There will be days when you would need to prioritize work over family or vice versa and whatever you choose, you should be fine with it. I think every woman needs a balance between the both, and how you define that balance should be up to you.

What is one piece of advice you could give to help other mompreneurs out?

Be strong and keep at it. Being a mompreneur is not easy because you have multiple responsibilities. So be patient and keep pursuing. And on the way don’t forget to take care of yourself and have fun!

What words of encouragement do you have for your fellow mompreneurs?

I think each and every mompreneur is special and the most wonderful thing about this tribe is that it is very supportive. Look out for each other ladies and collaborate!

Do you have any great / inspiring stories from your own experience that you would like to share?

When I became a mom I was so overwhelmed that I almost gave up traveling. I am sure we all know how difficult it is to travel with young kids. But then one day I asked myself why am I giving up on my dreams without actually giving it a shot. Surely there would be a difference in the way we travel but we decided to find a way. So, with a whole lot of research and planning, we started on our first adventure with our baby and never have stopped since.
