Family Command Center Organization
The next home organization idea that I want to talk about deals with your busy schedule. Because I always have a lot of people reach out to me about how to juggle everything that #momlife throws their way.
Which makes sense, because we’re juggling a lot.
And if you don’t have a system in place to stay on top of everything, you’re going to be a little frazzled.
And my favorite way to keep #momlife organized is with a family command center.
You don’t need to be super crafty to set one up. And you don’t need a lot of room if you don’t have it.
I created a command center on top of a small bookshelf that kept me organized for years.
It’s more about recognizing what all you need to organize and then putting together a system.
I wrote a comprehensive blog post that will walk you through planning out your family command center and an article on some of the best family command centers that I found online for a little inspiration.
So if you need to organize this part of your life, you need to check out these articles.

Overcoming Paper Clutter
Now, one of the most time consuming (and difficult) things to keep organized is paper. So let’s take a look at some home organization ideas here.
I don’t know if you’ve ever spent a day, weekend, or longer sorting through paper, but omg it sucks. It’s one of my least favorite things to organize because it seems like it’s neverending.
But if you have stacks of paper lying around, you have to tackle it. Trust me. It will make you feel so much better once it’s done.
Then you have to create a system to prevent it from piling up again. Which is actually pretty easy to do.
And I break down the entire process — from sorting to storing — in my comprehensive post, Busy Mom Hacks to Conquer Your Paper Clutter.

Digital File Organization
It’s also super important to keep your digital files organized, too.
For one, we only have so much storage space, and if you don’t have your files organized, you’re likely to download or save something again because you couldn’t find the original.
On top of that, you’re wasting soooo much time looking for stuff!
Just imagine what it would be like if you could open your computer and find anything that you’re looking for right away.
Well, you don’t have to wish and hope for a digital organization fairy to show up and get you organized. You can totally do it yourself!
And this article will teach you how to organize your digital files like a total pro.

Kitchen Organization
The next home organization idea I want to talk about is in the kitchen. And this is one of the areas that I’ve helped the most people organize in their homes.
Because we always have soooo much stuff to store and never enough space to store it all.
Plus, we want to it look nice, too.
So, to start, check out this article on 21 of my top kitchen organization hacks. Then check out the 5 best tools you can use to organize your kitchen, and then this comprehensive post on organizing your kitchen cabinets.
Once you get your kitchen organized, you’ll start saving a ton of money on groceries, you’ll be able to get dinner on the table a whole lot faster, and you’ll actually enjoy being in that space a lot more.
Just remember, sometimes it takes a little creativity to find the best storage solutions, especially in the kitchen. So take everything I lay out for you in these articles and have fun with it! Try some things out and figure out what works for you and your family.

Bathroom Organization
The bathroom is also a trouble spot for many people.
We collect a lot of face creams, hair products, and so on over the years. And they all end up in the bathroom cabinets.
And while I always recommend decluttering the stuff you don’t actually use, there’s still a lot left.
And if you want to be able to find all that stuff, you have to know where it is.
In other words, you need to organize it.
And this is even more crucial if you have a small bathroom.
Either way, you need to maximize your space to get the most out of it.

Bedroom Organization
The next home organization idea I want to explore is organizing the bedroom. We all want a comfortable and cozy bedroom to relax in at the end of the day.
And if it’s taken over by clutter or totally disorganized, there’s no way that’s happening.
So if you don’t feel relaxed in your bedroom, then I highly suggest taking a little time to organize that space.
It will drastically affect your sleep, your overall wellbeing, and your happiness.

Shoe Organization
One part of our bedrooms that gets out of control the easiest, though, is our shoes.
Shoes, shoes everywhere.
They’re so pretty, but they’re not so fun to step on, trip over, or if you can’t find one.
The fix? Some incredibly simple shoe organization hacks!
So if your shoes are all over the place, then I highly suggest taking an hour or two to put a shoe organization system into place.

Small Space Organization
The next home organization idea that I want to cover is all about small spaces.
Because organizing a small space takes a little more creativity than the rest of your house.
Lucky for you I’m not only a professional organizer, but I also lived in shoebox-sized apartments in NYC for a decade.
So I have allll the small space organization hacks you need.
And while you do have to think outside of the box here, organizing a small space can be super fun. So check out these hacks and then get that small space organized today. You’ll seriously fall in love with your space again once you do.

Organizing for Events
And the final home organization idea I want to cover today is staying organized for different events.
Because spending a little time getting organized before things happen will help everything run smoothly.
Plus, it will save you a ton of stress and chaos.
I’ve written articles on how to stay organized during a move and how to organize for the holidays, but if you need some help in another area, let me know in the comments!
